Never once was there any doubt in our mind that we would not be able to do this. The training was very encouraging and kept us on the right track. Our coach guided us step by step but at the proper time had us start looking for other deals to keep the machine constantly running. Before we closed on our first deal we also had a 110 unit apartment complex and a 500 unit storage facility under contract. As we are moving along with those we are... Read more

We just wanted to say thank you so very much for providing us with your experience and leadership. Your training has provided us with the tools we needed to negotiate, perform, finance, and close. We closed on a 16-unit property recently are closing on another 20-unit apartment next month. When some of us start out, the fact that we can own an apartment is daunting, if not impossible. Bias Towards African Americans

Updated by user Jan 23, 2024

No one is willing to contact me and address their company culture towards black and brown people.

Original review Jan 23, 2024
After investing $32,000.00 for a diamond membership that was advertised with the sponsorship component during the seminar, my expectations was to receive sponsorship assistance, particularly in understanding and securing commercial loans for my cash-flow deals. I underwritten roughly 10 multi-million dollar deals from 248 Units down to 27 Units with exceptional skill.
Our coach "Todd Schowengerdt" informed me never to send any of my deals through the company portal where everyone significants can review it.

so I had to send them directly to him for approval, once he finish praising me for a excellent job well done, with indisputable an attractive returns, combine with value adds increasing the probability of a successful deals right in front of him meeting all the parameters.
Days will go by before we hear from him to initiate contact with the sellers broker to submit a LOI.
He would then encourage me to send my file and complete due diligence to an affiliate of RE-Mentor name "Kevin Jenkins" @ Northmarq.com that provides mortgage loans for paid participating students. with all my deals not once was I ever able to receive well over 50% LTV to close the deal. constantly venting my frustration to the coach he would seem confused as if its unusual for this to be the case on a consistent basis with every great deal presented.
The conspiracy of a colluded effort kicks in when the coach would suggest I go to a bank and attempt to get funded without the liquidity and education or Bio of a qualified sponsor to navigate the complexity of commercial mortgage requirements. This was the ultimate purpose I specifically paid for within my $32,000.00 to assist me with these efforts of obtaining financial assistance.

So why should I be informed to walk into a bank and be politely denied a commercial loan for millions of dollars. when other Foreign and Caucasian participants are not only receiving 70% to 80% LTV but also enjoying the benefits of their money with the luxury of deciding which sponsor best fit their deal to help them close with ease. As much as people will like to believe racism has long passed, the truth is it's upon us in every aspect of life. So now I have been waiting for a response from RE-MENTOR for almost two months after countless phone calls and emails to every head figure in the company, including employees I personally interacted with.
My one year membership is up in May, it's apparently clear no one wants to address the compliant, and would rather the clock run out to justify their blatant disregard for Consumer Protection Laws, even the owner himself that I respectfully reach out to directly, "Mr.

David Lindahl" Has yet to contact me to discuss any details of my experiences.
To be thoroughly knowledgeable about the success rate in this company for African American compared to the percentage of other ethnic groups, I would seriously suggest you do not believe the hype.

It's simply a Pyramid Scheme design to Upsell you which is far from helping you succeed according to:

Dissatisfied customer

I attended the seminar in February 2018 in Jacksonville Florida. I have invested 25,000 in this program and received nothing in return.

The young lady who I was paired with ghosted after the first three weeks, red flag number one. After several meetings without her being online I asked what was going on, the reply I received was she is working and will catch up. She was never heard from again. Afterward the Mentor Linda stopped calling to set up meetings.

She then would call and wanted to have meetings the same day, I explained I was either in other meetings or on the road, the calls stopped completely. So I began to ask about a refund, I have called each time I was put on hold then mysteriously the phone would disconnect so I then sent emails to which I never received a reply.

I called the 781-982-**** then put on hold again then the phone disconnected this has been going on for months. This is ridiculous that this type of behavior can go on, again I am asking for a refund.

I have known many that DID get a run around.I hope you get your money back as they tend to 'prey' on those that have very little money and are not too smart.I read about an elderly woman who this company convinced to pay $10,000 for a program that truly is out of date, was pretty much useless and they refuse to refund her money.I am surprised they are still in business.Good Luck!

Refund

I as many others I have seen went to the initial 2 hour deal where they hype the 3 day boot camp that they promise even if you don't have any experience in Real Estate you will learn what you need to at the 3 day to do a deal. So I spent the $1497 and went.

I learned some things but definitely not enough to do a deal and have the legal forms to do them that they say they spend thousands of dollars on to have good legal forms. After attending and being made promises while at the event by my personal coach assigned to me at the 3 day to try to sell me on the $39,000 mentor program upgrade I emailed asking for a refund. They brag about making millions of dollars but are not willing to give a $1497 refund to somebody who is not satisfied with the 3 day boot camp. Something does not make sense right there because if they are all really making so much money doing Real Estate deals and not from these courses then it seems like it would be no problem refunding this SMALL amount of money.

I was told about the guarantee that I would get a refund after proof of my 1st deal. Now if I was able to do my 1st deal I would not care about the refund. I would feel it was worth the $1497 but since I did not learn enough and get provided with everything I needed then I think if they are willing to give a refund if a person does a deal they could also give one to a dissatisfied customer but I have emailed back and forth with Dani at least 15 times and still have been refused a refund of my $1497.

The last couple of emails where I have requested a refund or to be able to be put in touch with David Lindahl himself she has just ignored and not even responded back to my email. ALL I want is a refund and this issue would be resolved but I guess $1497 is alot out of all the millions of dollars that they are making from doing Real Estate deals.

ReMentor is a Scam!!

Re mentor pay the motivation speakers to boost your confidence and say they started from zero but that’s a lie.During the first meeting you have to pay. $1495.00 and after that you go to a 3 day meeting that they try to get $30,000.But than they come up with the deal of the day if you purchase now for$15,000!

A person that is having financial issues cannot afford this.I paid $1495.00 and was told that I could not get my refund.

Like they say it takes money to make money and there Motivational Speakers will have you believing that a person with little money can make thousands of dollars following their plan. Its all a well thought out Scam!!

Discovered a few gold nuggets

I attended one of their free workshops.

Yes, they tried to sell me something, but the speaker was upfront from the very beginning of the presentation about the additional paid training. There were never any surprises or strong-arm sales tactics, which was nice.

Based on other reviews, I was not sure if I would receive all the free gifts that were promised. I asked a staff member and they told me all the materials would be sent digitally to my email address after the event. I ended up receiving everything a few hours after the event.

The speaker did a good job and I was able to take away a few gold nuggets about multi-family real estate investing.

Overall, my experience was good and the staff was friendly.

False Advertising

I went to the seminar and the "free" materials they promised were only available if you purchased a program for $1495.00! What a waste of time.

Don't waste your time with this program as they are there only to sell a product and not provide information. I will be including this in my future blogs in real estate as one to avoid.

They try to hold you hostage and spend the entire night trying to get your money. The owner of this program is not doing people a service as people sign up for this program and no nothing about real estate or the true pitfalls they will be confronted with.

I know someone that worked for Dave Lindahl. She met him 1 time.

They stronghold you over the phone and it is not easy to get your money back...Many would cry an call in. The majority of the people did not do their homework as far as looking into the programs before investing their hard earned monies. She was also given a difficult time about getting her commissions...You can learn what they taught on the internet...The family run business is a scam...The 'scheme of dreams'....Don't believe it...Stay far away from this one!

Breach of contract

I paid $1500 to attend a 3 days seminar. It primarily covered what they will teach, how they will do it and what kind of results you can expect if you apply the techniques.

So I paid $25000 for their REMentor Gold coaching program for 6 months. This is their low end coaching. Over seven weeks went by and i never heard from anyone after the check cleared. So i kept following up.

They kep passing me to other departments, And kept telling me im not in their system as a student. Thats when i started asking for my money back....

I spoken to the David Lindalh sister Tammy 4 time regarding the refund. She said they're going to refund my money after they deduct their fee for service....What service i asked...i still havent received an breakdown of fee for service or a dime of my $25,000 yet

I have worked for RE Mentor for more than 15 years. In all that time I have never had my paycheck be late, and furthermore I have never received a phone call from a creditor that any of our bills were late.

I don't know who that is complaining about not getting paid, but that has never once happened to me. They are more than fair, and they run a tight ship-no monkey business which is the attraction for me.

I am sure they also allow anyone to counter a complaint and give a positive review...and that person could be a family member, friend or employee of the company.

My friend knew Tammy very well...This is how they worked in the office. They tried even not to pay her! They sent a check, and when she deposited in her account,it BOUNCED! I hope you get your money back...I am surprised they are still in business....

While there may be a few people that make up defamation claims to slander someone, there is no way an overwhelming ratio of reviews will be negative unless you motivated them by *** off the consumer". It is a red flag that you, your employees, or your business model are doing things very wrong.

Dave Lindahl 2 hour free seminar

I went to Dave Lindahl’s 2-hour seminar May 2018 in Florida. Had the worse experience of my life! When I entered the ball room the music was so loud I thought I was in a night club. The people at the back of the room were on their phones and watching some video laughing. They were not very professional at all. But I was interested to learn. Finally, the speaker came up. So Much for MY LEARNING!

The speaker Greg Rocheleau was his name just looked so *** and arrogant! You know one of those 40-year old’s acting like he’s 20 and at college frat party. Greg starts off saying he doesn’t speak in front of people he started in this business when he too went to a seminar just like this in Detroit 3 years ago. He said he worked in the car industry in Windsor.

Now I do believe that is Windsor Ontario Canada! Thought I noticed that accent AY!

He said that he’s done over a 100 deals. His first one was in 90 days from when he started. That went on for about ½ hour and it seem like another ½ hour about him talking about this son and Dad and how he sends his dad to Florida every year. Oh, not to mention his Boat and how he loves the Detroit river. I bet! What he loves is the tunnel crossing between Canada and the U.S.

He was just Pushy about getting $1,500.00 for a boot camp! He also said there is a 90 day Guarantee no tur it’s only a 14 days guaranty. But remember Dave will mentor you personally. So, I decide to do my homework and found this site. Thank you all! I did not lose my $1,500.00 or yet $50,000.

I like Dave Lindahl books, but he needs some people that represent him and his company better. Maybe Someone who Lives in the United States and owns Real Estate here in this USA! And people with Real Estate experience no Sales and defiantly Not a bunch of KIDS!

Cons:
  • State the actual company
  • Greg rocheleau pushy sales person
Reason of review:
Poor customer service

NOPE!!!

I recently attended a seminar in San Francisco as a guest because I know a con when I see one. One of the coaches told my friend and I that they were an "Educational Company" which means selling the course/dream is their core business.

I thought $1500 was a bit much for a weekend seminar and sure enough on the second day they pitched a $40,000 up-sell to "Continue" your education. I think I left skid marks getting out of there!!!

All you're doing is financing a different amount of money for a different kind of property. If you've ever owned a home, you've already done this! I already know how to ride a bicycle so therefore I don't need to pay someone $40,000 to teach me how to ride a fancy bicycle.

Precisely! My cousin worked there an he brother wanted to as well...There was a lot of scamming going on INSIDE the company as well, with commissions not being paid...They sold her a bill of goods as well about the monies she would make, and how the commission/bonus structure would work.Dave Lindahl and his family made more money preying on those who had a dream ,and would not pay their mortgage, would eat ramen noodles, and save EVERY PENNY to attend the seminars...They also took advantage of the elderly and made her contact those that were especially difficult. They would steal, abuse and lie in the office. When she was let go finally, they didn't pay her for 5 weeks and BOUNCED THAT CHECK!

Guest

I saw it all from the inside.I saw how people were scammed on a regular basis. They would take money from those that were broke and believed they would help. What a horrific experience.Dave Lindahl's family worked the office and they had people on the phones that promised Dave's number if they paid 10,000 and more for the program. He was pretty much non exsistant and the sales team was brutal. They owed me money and fired me when I saw what they REALLY were all about...Told me I didn't fit in.Yup! I called them on their stealing lying and cheating.Do NOT give this company a penny. They had old ladies crying because they made promises and took their money.

Rip Off Mentor

I attended the Dave's 3-Day Real Estate seminar in DC area at cost of $700. Basic information was communicated to the attendees.

This was also an upselll to the Silver/Gold Mastery Program . The guy who signed me up promised me all of these things and then conveniently disappeared within the next 2 weeks after he signed me up. In addition, the guy they matched me with (mentor) was giving me basic information during my weekly coaching sessions.(IE Place an in newspaper similar to the example he sent and call me back next week. In addition, some weeks he was not available and sometimes I could not make it at set time.

Either way they would count a full 1-hour Session regardless if you wrote e-mail and did not speak by phone. Moreover, Dave gives different agreements to different people. Some have 2-week cancellation policy others don't have anything. I was asking for my money back within first month as I experienced all this.

I never heard back from these people. My opinion this thing is a scam similar to the Donald Trump Real Esate Academy . A few people can do this however more than 75% is scammed in every city they go.

They make their money by writing and getting you to sign these agreeements that are a total mispresentation. My hope is the Government will take this guy out in the near future.

This is horrible advice. Michelle, why would anyone in their right mind pay 40K to some strange RE investor or company you don't know.

This is just another example of how desperate people can get in this kind of an economy. What you will learn if you give this scam artist 40K. RE has many intangibles that cannot be quantified . Statistically speaking you look at the probabilites of this type of investment Dave wins either way .However, you on the other hand don't share the same profit model that Dave. The deck is stacked against us for all of the intangibles we are not able to account for.

Further, just look on this site at all of the complaints vs the positive feedback. Finally, scam artists like this are created by people that are willing to give anything to appese this kind guy with false hope of success.

Theo,I find your response very interesting. Every successful person in any industry has a mentor and someone to go to.

So many people outside of Dave’s organization and in bigger pockets recommend Dave’s program. If you don’t know what bigger pockets is then you don’t know anything about real estate. Why would they endorse David Lindahl? It’s because his product works.

The list of testimonials is telling of this organization. Yes can you find information online? Absolutely. But if I could get an experienced investor helping me, why wouldn’t I pay for their help.

I’ve been to several rementor events and they are always straightforward and do not pressure me at all. It’s so sad to see such negativity instead of looking at what they can do.

Hey John, I'm from real ville. Not negative at all just in regards to this opportunity to be scammed.

Once again, if RE mentor could be doing all this stuff himself without competition then he would. However, at this of the industry he can make more money by getting people to sign his agreements.

RE full of intangibles so if you don't mind parting with 40K than have at it. Remember they are not responsible for anything that goes wrong.

Is this Michelle my wife? I can believe you gave them $40K to be mentored, you know more then they do.

Worst experiance of my liife.

I am a senior citizen. Who worked hard all my life.

I saved some money for my retirement, but son as I retired I found out that I needed either to continue working or invest to earn more money to be able to pay my bills. I saw Mr. Lindahl's add for a seminar on how to invest in Real Estate. I singed up and took my son Robert with me.

I paid $1,500 for the 2 day seminar. At the end I decided that was not for me. But my son was talked to into attend the 3 Day Boot Camp for which they charged 15,000.00. My son would attend the seminar and I would pay for it, since it will be a great investment according to one of the people that works for him.

The boot camp was a disaster, They didn't have any investment properties to show except the ones the probably saw in a listing, you could tell they did not know any thing about those properties. Anyhow There's so much to tell about this scam. The thing is He charged 15,000 Thousand Dollars. I never saw him, never met him ever.

we received a box of his videos and assigned a so called Coach. coach send my son a letter that I still have it. saying that he should get together with friends and ask them to find people that want to invest, also every time my son would find a property , which he was assigned to do. He was asked if he was a Broker or a Real Estate agent.

and of course he was neither. at the seminar they tell you that you don't have to Know any thing about Real Estate, you just have to learn How to Invest in Multifamily apartments and for that you have to study his class. $15, 000.000 Dollars out of my retirement account. I am an Old woman and I need my money back I have sent many emails to him but he never replays.

People need to know what this man is doing the way he is taking their money for nothing in return. I would like to tell him about the sleepless nights I have and how much I still worry. The district attorneys of his state and the state of California will be notified about this. Thank you much.

My name is Vilma Vaccarezza.

My phone # is ( 408) 578 ****. He can call me before my attorney will.

Great reource. GREAT people!

In all my dealngs with this company, every single person AND interaction has been fantastic! There is no fiduciary rule in education, but this entire organization is run as if every associate is directed to determine what is best for their clients.

No one tried to sell things I didn’t need; they simply tried to find ways to help me. Simply amazing!

WOW!

These people abuse if you don't sign up for bootcamp!

The person whom i was trying to get more information on what else happens at bootcamp and how the funding/marketing works, he started abusing me and name calling. He asked me what I did for a living, when i started talking, he said he is not interested in knowing that!

I was of the opinion that they might ask for more money in the boot camp to get access to the software.

Also, they didn't mention that we have to spend our own money for the letter marketing.

I finally decided not to sign up due to his abusive behavior. Imagine the behavior before you sign up, after the sign up these folks may not even come to help!

I hope that you will one day give us another chance to win your trust and if I can assist you in any way I am more than happy to do so. Jeannie Orlowski 339-469-****
